May I have some Turkey with my Stuffing?

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="310" caption="Turkey, its what's for dinner."]Turkey, its whats for dinner.[/caption] Happy Thanksgiving to all those keeping abreast of my news especially my friends and family.  It’s been an incredibly stuffed year for my father Fred and myself: we shot our short film DCMAD over in Seattle in May with many of our friends from North Idaho and a few from So Cal, and we also wrapped our 3rd Schweitzer Lakedance.  I think if you can end up with a film and a film festival mashed together in the same year is a good one. We also made some great new friends this year, many who work in the film industry, but all have been as sweet as pie to us. The best part of this year so far has been that we passed the 4 year mark on restoring this old Charbonneau Hotel, and consequently it is the final leg of the journey.  It’s been quite a journey to see her from the way we found her in Sep. ‘04, essentially a wreck, to the way she is now – quite a comfortable and well garnished bottom floor with a second and third floor that are already starting to show promise for the next century. So I suppose it was really quite a full year.  We shot a movie, had our 3rd film festival, made a lot of new friends, carved out an existence in God’s Country for another year, we still have our health, and the fact that we just completed our 4th year of restoring the Old Charbonneau… well that’s just the gravy on this terrific year.  It’s been a great year, and I’m thankful for those who made it a special one.  Happy Thanksgiving, and I hope your turkey looks as good as the one pictured above… which FYI, I have no idea where it came from, who ate it or what year it was from.  But it sure does look delicious.

Alright already, I got a blog.

There was also Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Spin Doctors, Counting Crows... and indeed, Blind Melon. Were not worthy![/caption] Well I got one.  Happy? I’ve never been a “diary” or “journal” kind of person.  Sure, I take copious notes – you have to in college, and later, with my many projects I have going on simultaneously, otherwise I would lose my mind.  Not to mention it is definitely one of the most repugnant words in the modern English language – blog.  Who came up with that? But I see now that despite being a word that should never have entered our vocabulary, let alone household terminology, I will have to not only accept it but embrace it with this WordPress software.  Time to join the 21st century, Trevor, and get a blog its all the rage.  Right, well I’ve got one now.  And I’ll keep it in the same place as the rest of the “now” and trendy stuff I’m glad I bought into – neon frame sunglasses, slap bracelets, bell bottoms, and my Green Day CD.
